Administration and Business Services | Fiscal Oversight of School Districts

The county superintendent is required to approve or disapprove the adopted budget for each school district in the county, review interim financial reports, and monitor the fiscal solvency of districts throughout the year. The adopted General Fund budgets for 2010-11 total over 3.0 billion and provide for close to 410,000 K-12 students.
