Administration and Business Services | Maintenance
Maintenance includes preventive and corrective maintenance, minor alterations and improvements, emergency work orders, vandalism response, and building access. In addition, department personnel work directly with school districts regarding the contractual arrangements for their services.
The Maintenance group is comprised of six employees with diverse skills who take pride in providing professional services. These employees focus on the maintenance, repair, and service of buildings, building systems, and related infrastructure. Trade shop activities range from painting, plumbing, electrical, and locksmith duties to overseeing contract work for fire/life safety systems, equipment replacement, and backflow testing. In-house employees are involved daily to ensure the functional working condition of buildings and to maintain attractive and safe facilities.
Specialty work such as cabinetry, countertops, minor alterations, signage, energy management, window coverings, welding, card access systems and video surveillance are also performed by the maintenance shop.
