Board of Education | Gerald P. Colapinto

Gerald P. Colapinto represents Trustee Area 1 which includes the cities of Corona, Norco, and portions of Riverside, a seat he has held since 1980.
Mr. Colapinto was born in Bristol, Connecticut, where he spent his early years and completed his formal education. Soon after his marriage, Mr. Colapinto left New England and relocated to Corona, California.
Mr. Colapinto taught high school music for the Corona-Norco Unified School District from 1965–1971 and continued his professional musical career as a percussionist through 1983. He was the Founder and Director of Riverside Thrift and Loan from 1984–1990. He founded and managed several other worldwide corporations and served them in numerous capacities. Currently, Mr. Colapinto is Chairman and CEO of Second Renaissance, LLC, a company he also founded, that represents the Vatican Observatory’s world-wide licensing program.
Mr. Colapinto has an extensive background in business and community service. He has served various community and educational organizations including Riverside Community College’s Development Board, Passport to College Scholarship Program and Foundation Board. He has also served as Director for Corona’s Chamber of Commerce and as President of Corona’s Rotary Club, and is a member of several business related associations.
Mr. Colapinto presently resides in Corona with his wife of 42 years, Eileen. They have two children, Sandra and Anthony, and three grandchildren.
