Board of Education | Adolfo Mediano, Jr.

Adolfo Mediano, Jr., represents Trustee Area 5 which includes the cities of Banning, Beaumont, Desert Hot Springs, Palm Springs, and the greater portion of Moreno Valley.
Mr. Mediano is a native of Riverside County, born and raised in Banning. Currently he is employed with the San Bernardino County Probation Department as a Probation Corrections Supervisor I. He retired from the Riverside County Probation Department after serving 19 years as a Supervising Probation Officer. In 1999 he received a Meritorious Service Award from the California Association of Probation Institution Administrators.
Mr. Mediano holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of California, San Diego and a Juris Doctor degree from Western State University College of Law, San Diego.
From 1990-1999, Mr. Mediano was elected to serve on the Banning Unified School District Board of Education. He also served as an appointed Council Member for the City of Banning from 2001-2002. In 2006, he was appointed to serve the remaining term of Dr. Milo P. Johnson on the Riverside County Board of Education. He currently holds a seat and is a member of the San Gorgonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. In 2006, this organization selected him as the Outstanding Latino of the year.
Mr. Mediano is the co-owner of a small local business and until recently, was a member of the Coachella Valley Baseball Umpires Association. For several years, Mr. Mediano was active with local youth sports associations and also spent two years on the Coachella Valley Football Association.
Mr. Mediano is married to his high school sweetheart, Bonnie and they have two children.
