Children and Family Services | Growing, Learning, and Caring
Using federal dollars from the Child Care Developmental Block Grant and the California Department of Education, the Children’s Services Unit has designed programs to increase the number of licensed, quality child care providers in Riverside County. Through the Growing, Learning, and Caring (GLC) program, license-exempt home providers (family members, friends, and neighbors caring for children) are provided with an on-going training series on child development and curriculum implementation in the home setting, as well as assistance with completing the licensing process through Community Care Licensing. Training is available throughout the county.
