California Department of Education honors Riverside County outstanding schools at event
Thirty outstanding Riverside County schools were honored by the California Department of Education May 4 during the 2012 California School Recognition Program. The schools included California Distinguished Schools, Title I Academic Achievement Schools, and National Blue Ribbon Schools.
The recognition event was hosted by the Riverside County Office of Education, Orange County Department of Education, and San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools at the Ontario Convention Center. Awards for Riverside County winners were given by Kenneth M. Young, Riverside County Superintendent of Schools, and Tom Torlakson, State Superintendent of Public Instruction.
