Educators gather to learn about school improvement from Dr. Richard and Becky DuFour
On April 29th and 30th, Dr. Richard and Becky DuFour presented, “Professional Learning Communities at Work: Bringing the Big Ideas to Life,” at the Esmeralda Hotel in Indian Wells. They are one of the nation’s foremost authorities on applying PLC (Professional Learning Communities) principles in the real world of schools. Their life work brings forth the most powerful opportunity to truly transform education at a systemic level.
District and school teams from throughout California came to Indian Wells to hear from these leading educators how they can transform their schools and districts in Professional Learning Communities. The DuFours focused on teams working together with student data to make sure ALL students are successful.
The work of the DuFour’s has had a tsunami effect in Riverside County and through California. The results are seen daily at schools and districts in Riverside County: student achievement is on the rise. Rick and Becky have been the catalyst for this change.
