County selects members of Hall of Fame inductees

Three outstanding educators and community leaders have been selected for induction into the Riverside County Education Hall of Fame. They will be honored at the 2006 Celebrating Educators Luncheon, scheduled for May 16, 2006, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Riverside Convention Center.

The Hall of Fame inductees are:

Gisela Gosch has been a leader in the Hemet Community for the past 20 years. She has served for 13 years as a Hemet Unified School District Board Member, with three terms as Board President, member of the ValleyWide Parks and Recreation District Board of Directors, member of the Executive Board of the Western Center for Archaeology and Paleontology, founding member of the Hemet-San Jacinto Action Group, and member of the League of Women Voters. Nominators said, “Gisela has all of the personal traits one would desire in a leader. Her intellectual capacity is second to none and she can be counted upon to provide input that will improve the project. Gisela has been an inspiration as a leader in our district.”

Earline Oliver is currently President of Desert Sands Unified School District Site Council. For years, Earline has served and continues to serve on school site councils, District English Language Learners Committee, and Parent Teachers Organization. Nominators said, “Earline is an enthusiastic parent, committed team member, and dedicated community leader who offers a positive and responsible perspective to all of these roles. She is an exemplary model for children, supports the local school’s goals, and effectively works on district level committees to enhance the connection between parents and schools. Earline is a person with integrity, honesty, and high ethical standards.”

Mary Helen Ybarra is currently the Corona-Norco PTA Council President. She has been a member of the 23 rd District PTA Hospitality & Awards Chair, Corona-Norco YMCA Board, PAL-Corona Police Activities League Treasurer, Corona Chamber of Commerce Leadership Committee, Corona-Norco American Cancer Society Board, and City of Corona Red Ribbon Co-chair. Nominators said, “Without question, Mary is viewed as a leader by the educators, parents, and students in our schools. She has positively impacted the education system and thousands of students at all levels of schooling throughout the Corona-Norco Unified School District.”
