Children's Services Unit holds fundraiser for needy families
RCOE's Children's Services Unit held a fundraising event at Applebee's Restaurant Saturday, November 1, 2008, to benefit the holiday reception for needy families. More than 100 people attended this fundraising effort that will help pay for holiday celebrations scheduled for December 17 in Indio and December 18 in Riverside.
Families will receive donated toys and other supplies during the holiday events.
Applebee's Restaurant and Manager Dollie Cadena were delighted to sponsor this event -- Dollie is a former Head Start Community Assistant and teacher for Riverside Unified School District.
