Introducing the Division of Educational Leadership Services
“Leadership doesn’t make
a difference,
it makes the difference.”
John Maxwell
Riverside County Superintendent of Schools Kenneth M. Young established the Division of Educational Leadership Services in response to the pressing needs and challenges facing public education today in recruiting, developing and retaining high quality educational leaders. Educational Leadership Services serves not only those currently in administrative positions, but also those principals and teacher leaders who are working to advance their careers. In addition, Educational Leadership Services will be providing leadership support to management at the Riverside County Office of Education (see video - requires QuickTime).
All programs and services provided by the new division are research-based and focus on practical application. Programs are designed to support individuals and teams as they lead other educators and students towards improved student academic achievement. Leading-edge research, best practices and “how-to’s” are all utilized to help educational leaders build and maintain a results-centered culture in their districts and schools.
