Veterans to Receive Diplomas through Operation Recognition

The Riverside County Office of Education, with assistance from the Riverside County Department of Veteran’s Services, will once again this year be offering high school diplomas to veterans through a program known as Operation Recognition.

Residents of Riverside County whose high school education was interrupted by military service in World War II, the Korean War, or the Vietnam War, may receive diplomas at Operation Recognition at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2009.

In order to be recognized at ceremony, completed application forms and supporting documentation must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2009.

The program will be held at the Riverside County Office of Education, 3939 Thirteenth Street, Riverside. Enter at the Conference Center on the corner of 12th and Almond streets.

RCOE has given diplomas to veterans through Operation Recognition since May 2007. (Photos from previous ceremonies: 2008 | 2007)
