Riverside County Spelling Bee is March 11
The 32nd Annual Riverside County Spelling Bee will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at the Moreno Valley Conference & Recreation Center, 14075 Frederick St., Moreno Valley. The competition starts at 9 a.m.
The event is co-sponsored by The Press Enterprise newspaper and the Riverside County Office of Education.
This year, 30 students will be participating from Riverside County public, private and parochial schools. (See attached list).
The winning student will advance to the Scripps National Spelling Bee May 28-29, 2009, (provided the school has paid the enrollment fee) with the support of The Press Enterprise and the top two elementary spellers will proceed to the California State Elementary Spelling Bee on May 16, 2009, supported by RCOE.
