2008 Student Events

Each year RCOE organizes county and regional level student events for students in grades 4-12 throughout Riverside County. These events support California state teaching standards and recognize outstanding student and team performances in subjects ranging from Math and Science to Art and Performance.

Student events at the county or regional level include (click event title for event schedule and more information):

Students begin event competition in their school or district. Winners at the district level move on to competition at the county event. RCOE provides an online video (requires QuickTime) with footage from county events to serve as an introduction to county level competition for students, parents, and teachers.

RCOE works closely with state level organizers to ensure the county level events follow guidelines for competition as well as to ensure winners at the county level receive accurate information regarding participation in state competition. RCOE has also been sought out by state and national event organizers to provide expertise on various aspects of competition.

State and national events include (click on title for event Web site):

This year's student events are already underway as students prepare for the first levels of competition. RCOE is proud to be a part of these exciting and educational opportunities that encourage and promote the achievement of Riverside county students at the district, county, state, and national levels.
