Superintendent and Board of Education

The Riverside County Superintendent of Schools is an elected official serving a four-year term. Each of the seven elected members of the Riverside County Board of Education serves a four-year term representing his or her trustee area.

The Board sets policy, approves RCOE’s operating budget, and serves as an appeals board for interdistrict attendance requests and student expulsions. Regular meetings of the Riverside County Board of Education are open to the public and are held on the third Wednesday of each month at 9 a.m.

Meetings are generally held at the Riverside County Office of Education, Fourth Floor Board Room, 3939 Thirteenth Street, Riverside. The December and March meetings are held at the Riverside County Office of Education in Indio, 47-336 Oasis Street. The May meeting is held at the Riverside County Office of Education in Murrieta, 24980 Las Brisas Road.
