Second Annual Academic Pentathlon

Approximately 300 people attended the 2nd Annual Riverside County
Academic Pentathlon Awards ceremony on Wednesday, May 26, 2004.

Academic Pentathlon, sponsored by the Riverside County Office of
Education, is an exciting student competition that encourages and rewards
academic excellence through competitive challenge. Students in grades six,
seven, and eight compete as individuals and as team members in a series of
five academic events. (Essay, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies). This event offers preparation for the rigorous high school ten-event Academic Decathlon competition. (For a full list of winners, please see
