Outstanding Educators Selected

The 2005 Riverside County Administrators, Principals, Classified, and Confidential Staff Members of the Year were honored on May 17 by the Riverside County Office of Education at the Riverside County Convention Center. In addition, the 2005 Riverside County Teachers of the Year and inductees to the Riverside County Education Hall of Fame were honored. The honorees were:

Administrator of the Year (Certificated):
Doris Wilson, Ed.D.
Superintendent of the Desert Sands Unified School District.

Administrator of the Year (Classified Management):
Julie O’Neil-Arthur
Director of Planning and Facilities of the San Jacinto Unified School District.

Principal of the Year:
Timothy Martin
Principal of the George Washington Elementary School, Riverside Unified School District.

Confidential Staff Member of the Year:
Sharon Callahan
Administrative Assistant II of the Hemet Unified School District.

Classified Staff Member of the Year:
Mary Lou Lugo
ELD Aide of the North Mountain Middle School, San Jacinto Unified School District.

Teacher of the Year:
Kathleen Alvarez
West Valley High School, Hemet Unified School District.

Teacher of the Year:
Deana Hippie
Corona High School, Corona-Norco Unified School District.

Teacher of the Year:
Rick Riehman
Rancho Verde High School, Val Verde Unified School District.
