About RCOE

The Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE) is a service agency supporting the county’s 23 school districts and linking them with the California Department of Education. RCOE has three missions: to give administrative support to districts; to operate student programs for almost 60,000 preschool, special education, and vocational/regional occupational program students; to provide professional training, support, and resources for teachers, administrators, and staff.

About Riverside County

• The county was formed in 1893 from a small portion of San Bernardino County and a larger part of San Diego County and named from the city of Riverside. RCOE was created the same year.
• 7,200 square miles, equal to the size of the state of New Jersey.
• Population 1,944,419.
