County selects members of Hall of Fame

Three outstanding educators and community leaders were selected for induction into the Riverside County Education Hall of Fame (May 2007). Honorees:

Ron Visser, a business leader and active member of the community of Moreno Valley, who was instrumental in establishing ACCESS to the Future (Achieving Community Connections Ensuring Student Success), an award winning business/education partnership that provides funding for career technical education.

Dennis Murray, retired Superintendent of the Perris Union School District, credited with increased student achievement, support for instructional programming, long-term fiscal solvency, highly qualified teaching staff, and expanded facilities.

Pamela Clute, Assistant Vice Provost of Academic Partnerships at UCR, developed the Alpha Center at UCR to increase student achievement in mathematics, the availability of qualified mathematics teachers, and the effectiveness of existing teachers.
