RCOE TV

RCOE TV promotionNow showing, on a TV near you: “Focus on Education,” a studio discussion show featuring Riverside County Superintendent of Schools Kenneth Young, with each program throwing a spotlight on pressing issues in education. But there’s more: Diplomats and foreign correspondents lecturing before the Inland chapter of the World Affairs Council. Best-selling author Susan Straight reading to children at the library. The homecoming visit of astronaut Michael Coats to his old middle school in Riverside. UCR’s “Copernicus Project” to improve K-12 science teaching. “Roads to College,” a series that examines different aspects of the college quest. And programs about a host of RCOE projects, ranging from student events and Operation Recognition to education training initiatives.

All this and more is now showing on RCOE TV, the Riverside County Office of Education’s television station. RCOE TV’s own programs are the cornerstone of its station, on Charter Cable’s digital Channel 96, serving the greater Riverside and Norco areas including Jurupa and Eastvale. (The channel also features Annenberg Foundation educational shows). But RCOE TV studio productions are aimed for wider distribution via other stations as well. In the near future, look for RCOE TV to bring quality local programs about this area’s children and schools to audiences across sprawling Riverside County.

The mission of RCOE is to ensure the success of all students through extraordinary service, support and partnerships
