Dad's Day in the Park

photo of father taking picture of daughters at Dads Day in the ParkMore than 600 people attended the Sixth Annual Dad’s Day in the Park sponsored by the Riverside County Office of Education’s Division of Children and Family Services June 21 in Fairmont Park. The event celebrates fathers in the lives of their children.

This year’s event had a literacy focus and was held in conjunction with the City of Riverside Parks and Recreation Family Fishing Derby. The theme for this year’s event was “Catch a Good Book”. Despite record breaking high temperatures, attendance was good and there were 57 food, resource and entertainment vendors.
