California Migrant Education Project Pipeline

Riverside County Office of Education’s Migrant Education Program received a grant titled C-MEPP, California Migrant Education Project Pipeline. This grant created a year round project which coordinated activities for middle school and high school migrant students and their families that stimulated and supported the idea of furthering their education beyond high school.

The purpose of the Project Pipeline is to make a collective effort to increase the number of graduating migrant high school students who are eligible for admission to the University of California or California State University systems.

The project involved RCOE migrant education students who participated in various summer programs through different community-based organizations and college campuses. The students were given the opportunity to participate in diverse experiences to create a college-culture mentality.

The mission of RCOE is to ensure the success of all students through extraordinary service, support, and partnerships
