Biography

Catherine Belcher supports Student Programs and Services which provides educational services for disabled and special needs, at-risk, and migrant education students. Mrs. Belcher encourages staff to make a difference in the lives of students through extraordinary service. For several years, Mrs. Belcher has worked to reduce chronic absenteeism in Riverside County schools. Schools across the county have seen a drastic reduction in absenteeism thanks to the annual conference Mrs. Belcher organizes with partners—one that provides parents with resources to impress on them the importance of ensuring their child stays in school. In addition to this conference, Mrs. Belcher has coordinated numerous fundraising events that, with help from the local community, have provided children with items such as shoes, bikes, and other essentials. A colleague praises Mrs. Belcher highly, championing her responsibility and leadership in organizing many community events, and emphasizing her integral role in the conference planning committee.
