Chronological and Spatial Thinking
Time-order sequence, linear timeframes, eras, and epochs can be used to gauge time in spatial thinking. Space, proximity, distance, scale, shapes and the tools used to measure spaces such as as maps and graphs are used in spatial thinking as well.
Research and Evidence
Topics, hypothesis, methods, data gathering, data analysis, findings, and conclusions are generally used in HSS research. Empirical evidence, discussions, surveys, interviews, documents and first person recordings are additional elements involved in HSS research.
Point of View
Perspectives in HSS inquiry are often influenced by existing statements and beliefs people. These assertions and opinions may or may not be grounded in verifiable facts. HSS seeks to create points of view that reflect objectivity, unbiased, and factually-based statements and beliefs.
Coherence
The unity of ideas in a logical structure, with evidence and explanation that supports a central thesis are the features of coherence in HSS studies.
Correspondence
The truth or falsity of a statement is determined by how accurately it describes events that actually happened or existed in this world is the goal of correspondence.
