The overarching purpose of Title III is to ensure that English learners, including immigrant children and youth, attain English proficiency and meet the same challenging academic achievement standards that other students are expected to meet. Schools and districts receiving Title III funds are accountable for increasing the English proficiency and core academic content knowledge of English learners.
LEAs that applied for Title III federal funds in the 2019-20 Consolidated Application must submit an LCAP Federal Addendum by January 30, 2020.
