College and Career Readiness (CCR)

As our school districts move towards distance learning in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the College and Career Readiness Unit is committed to supporting your efforts by continuing to provide professional development and much needed resources on vital topics and obstacles you are facing. With so many resources, tool kits, and links for counselors to look through during COVID-19, we instead stremlined the essential information and topics needed to support you through the end of the school year.  During this time of year, our students rely so much on your guidance in the fields of academic, socio-emotional and college & career readiness and we want to ensure you receive the latest best practices as well as strategies to continue your efforts.

We are thrilled to announce that we have modified our plans for the FREE School Counselor On-the-Go Webinar Series via virtual professional development in April and May to meet your current needs in response to COVID-19.

The College and Career Readiness (CCR) unit at RCOE was created to further advance the organization’s Pledge across the county.

Through the collective efforts of the Riverside County Counselors Leadership Network (RCCLN) and the Riverside County Education Collaborative (RCEC), the unit works with education leaders and community stakeholders to support and increase a college going culture in our county’s K-12 schools, ensuring that our students are well prepared for the workforce needs of the 21st century.
