What is the Riverside County Seal of Multiliteracy?

The Seal of Multiliteracy is an award given by the Riverside County Office of Education in partnership with districts in recognition of high levels of attained proficiency in English and at least one other world language by high school graduation.

    STUDENTS:
  • Submit an Intent to Apply form. (Deadline Friday, Aug 30th)
  • Submit a Parent Authorization form:
  • Student must download the
    Parent Authorization form and
    upload the completed form.

    Site Representative (deadline Sept 6th) :
  • Submit list of students who have submitted an Intent to Apply e-mail to galaniz@rcoe.us.
  • Submit School Verification online form.
  • Note: Please keep a copy for your records.

Students must demonstrate proficiency in one or more languages other than English through one of the following:
  • Pass a foreign language Advanced Placement (AP) exam, including American Sign Language, with
    a score of three or higher, or
  • Pass an International Baccalaureate (IB) examination with a score of four or higher, or
  • Pass the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) II foreign language exam with a score of 600 or higher.
  • Ask your site representative to submit a school verification form and transcripts.
Please note: You will get notified of your status once we verify you have met the eligibility criteria.

Students who do not meet one of the above criteria may demonstrate proficiency in another language
by passing the Riverside County On-Demand Assessment. (Move onto step 3)


Site Representative must complete the School Verification form for each student
and submit a list of students who have met the eligibility criteria.

On Demand Assessment Day on Saturday, October 12, 2019.
