The measurement and reporting of student learning impacts every aspect of the educational system, from Local Control Funding for remediation and acceleration to college and career readiness. Join the Riverside County Office of Education’s College and Career Readiness unit and the Riverside County Education Collaborative for a powerful day of professional development and discussion.

Three differentiated strands of professional development will be presented:

  • Pre-Service and New to The Profession Teachers
  • Teacher Practitioners
  • Teacher Leaders

Keynote Speaker: Tom Schimmer

Tom Schimmer is an educational author, speaker, and consultant. He is recognized as a leader and expert in the areas of classroom assessment, sound grading practices, educational leadership, and RTI. An educator for more than 20 years, Tom is a former district-level leader, high school principal, school administrator, and teacher. As a district-level leader, he was a member of the senior management team responsible for overseeing the efforts to support and build the instructional capacities of teachers and administrators.
