Region 10: RIMS District Science Teacher’s Community of Practice
October 20 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
The intent of these meetings is for district elementary teacher (TK-5) leaders to come together as a Community of Practice to be informed about science assessments, science data, grants, instructional materials, research-based strategies, regional science education updates, hands-on activities, and to network with Region 10 colleagues and experts. We will have guest speakers and experts bringing timely, pertinent information regarding innovative science education topics. The meetings will focus on STEM/STEAM initiatives, the Next Generation Science Standards, topics related to California Standards, and the ELD standards. We envision that these teacher leaders will share this information with others at their school site. A “district science teacher leader” is a teacher, or grade level lead, who has been identified by the district office as their designated science site representative.
Virtual meetings held 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Who should attend? Elementary teachers, teacher leaders, coaches, TOSAs
