How can we utilize the principles of Universal Design as leaders? Participants will engage in six webinars with Dr. Katie Novak, an internationally recognized expert on Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and explore the following topics:
- Utilizing UDL as a Leader
- Teacher Evaluation Through the UDL Lens
- Fostering True UDL Professional Learning Communities
- UDL Leadership Self-Assessment
- UDL Addressing Institutional Oppression
- Leading the Process of Unlearning
The session will focus on usage and implementation of the UDL principles at their school site or district with opportunities to collaborate with others to share best practices. Two optional follow up county-wide networking opportunities and asynchronous follow-up work through the Alludo learning platform will also be available.
Alludo leverages gamification to encourage teachers, administrators, and staff to acquire new skills and experiences. By providing a fun, competitive, and self-paced environment, players are empowered to own their learning, choose topics aligned with their goals while collaborating with peers, earning badges, and gaining knowledge.
