New Business Partners Program Seeks Members Interested in Making a Difference in the Lives of Students

Riverside County Office of Education Foundation seeking 500 business partners

RIVERSIDE – After providing more than $158,000 in scholarships to college-bound graduating high school seniors over the last three years, the Riverside County Office of Education Foundation (RCOEF) is launching a new Business Partners Program. The program will be comprised of a cross-section of local, professional, and industry leaders intent on supporting the Riverside County Office of Education Pledge that states: “All students in Riverside County will graduate from high school well prepared for college and the workforce.”

In addition to raising funds for student scholarships, these annual membership dues will support important RCOE student advancement programs that are considered necessary to further educational and career goals of students pursuing their college education.

“It is my hope that local organizations will step up and join the Business Partners Program to demonstrate their commitment to the next generation of business and community leaders who number 430,000 strong in the schools and classrooms across Riverside County,” said Riverside County Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Judy D. White.

Members will be invited to attend RCOE student academic and foundation events throughout the year providing business development and community outreach opportunities. Additionally, members will be listed on the RCOEF website and recognized at the annual sponsor recognition event.

Business Partners Program annual membership levels include:

  • Platinum Circle – $5,000
  • Gold Circle – $2,500
  • Silver Circle – $1,500
  • Bronze Circle – $500

“The RCOEF will continue providing scholarships to students graduating from Riverside County high schools so they can pursue their dreams,” said RCOEF Chair and Riverside County Chief Deputy Probation Officer, Ron Miller. “In reality, there are countless ways to impact students well before they are prepared to graduate from our K-12 public school system. We are looking forward to developing creative approaches with members of the Business Partners Program interested in shaping the future workforce and emerging young leaders in our county.”

About the RCOE Foundation

The Riverside County Office of Education Foundation (RCOEF) was founded in 2013 by concerned and dedicated community leaders, education professionals, and staff from the Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE). There was an acute awareness that Riverside County students were in need of additional opportunities to help them graduate from high school and pursue their college education and career goals. The primary need was financial assistance to offset the challenges of economically disadvantaged households. Thus, the Student Scholarship Program was conceived and implemented to address this challenge. To date, RCOEF has awarded more than $158,000 in scholarship funds and continues to increase that number each year for students pursuing their college and career goals.
