Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE) acknowledges the pivotal role of meaningful family engagement in driving school improvement and enhancing student achievement. We recognize when families are active participants in decision-making, the educational experience becomes more relevant, meaningful, and tailored to the diverse needs of our students and communities.
The Family Engagement Network (FEN) is designed to utilize research-based findings to provide training and support for family engagement practitioners, parents, families, and community members. FEN empowers these stakeholders to take the lead in developing welcoming, goal-oriented district and school family engagement programs, fostering efforts directly linked to student success.
Additionally, FEN aligns with Riverside County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Edwin Gomez's Five Initiatives: Foster Youth Success, Mental Health, Financial Literacy, Literacy by 5th Grade, and Competitive Edge Initiative. FEN ensures a holistic approach by incorporating these initiatives to support student success and fostering well-rounded development for both students and families.
