Join us for the RCWC Kick-off to School-based Mental Health training where we will explore innovative strategies for integrating mental health across all three tiers as part of a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS). From proactive measures to targeted interventions, you’ll be equipped with the knowledge and tools to create a supportive framework for students’ mental well-being.

Participate in this training to learn about Motivational Interviewing (MI), an evidence-based, person-centered approach that strengthens motivation and supports behavior change. This session explores the foundational principles of Motivational Interviewing, including the Spirit of MI, the Stages of Change Model, and the Four Fundamental Processes of MI. Through interactive learning and practice, participants will learn how to engage students who are ambivalent, resistant, or facing barriers to change. The training emphasizes collaborative, strengths-based communication strategies that foster self-efficacy, engagement, and positive outcomes in school- and clinical-based settings.

This session demystifies the complex landscape of school mental health credentials, licensure, and certifications, helping participants understand scopes of practice, workforce capacity, billing opportunities, and strategic staff deployment.
