    The Early Education Programs (EEP) unit was created to align federal and state instructional services and supports provided to early education students, families, educators, and the community. The unit includes services and support for Head Start/Early Head Start (HS/EHS) and California State Preschool/Center-Based Programs (CSPP/CCTR).

    In addition to HS/EHS and CSPP/CCTR services and support, the Early Education Programs (EEP) unit supports Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK), Early Education Teacher Development Grant (EETDG), Inclusive Early Education Expansion Program (IEEEP), and is working in collaboration with the Educational Services Division to provide Universal Transitional Kindergarten (UTK) professional development.
