Center for Administrator Preparation

The Center for Administrator Preparation offers support for those pursuing requirements to become educational administrators in California. Our programs provide course requirements and job embedded training necessary to receive a preliminary, or clear an administrative services credential.

Educational challenges exist in schools across a variety of dimensions. We are committed to empowering capable, student-centered school leaders to facilitate just and effective practices. Our program is focused on building capacity with new educational administrators and prospective school principals to excel at meeting the increased demands of school leadership.

PASC Program

The Preliminary Administrative Services Credential (PASC) Program is a pathway for credentialed teachers and school counselors to enter administrative positions in education.

CASC Program

The California Administrative Services Credential (CASC) Program is a two-year coaching program for recently hired administrators working under the Preliminary Administrative Services Credential (PASC).

Our goal is to develop leaders who can transform educational institutions by eliminating barriers and building systems that ensure success for all.

How we do it

We build the capacity of school leaders by providing high-quality, two-tiered administrative services credential programs for educators aligned to the California Administrator Performance Expectations (CAPEs), California Professional Standards for Education Leaders (CPSELs), and Model Code of Ethics for Educators (MCEE) Standards, with a strong focus on fostering supportive and effective leadership.
