Risk Management

The Risk Management Team oversees employee health and welfare benefits, workers’ compensation, property and liability insurance, and claims administration to protect employees, resources, and programs. We support a safe and compliant work environment through loss control, employee safety programs, training resources, and risk consultation across all departments. Our team also manages benefits programs and related services to ensure employees and their families have access to comprehensive, reliable coverage and support.

Workplace Violence Prevention Plan

The Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE) is committed to providing a safe and secure environment free of violence and threats of violence and to safeguarding all students, employees and guests entering RCOE properties.

RCOE has established and implemented the following Workplace Violence Prevention Plan, including the Workplace Violence Incident Report Form should any incident occur.

Healthy Workplaces/Healthy Families Act: California Paid Sick Leave

An employee who, on or after July 1, 2015, works in California for 30 or more days within a year from the beginning of employment is entitled to paid sick leave.

Elements Choice PPO Plan (Minimum Value Plan)

All actively working substitutes, temporary employees, and employees working less than 20 hours per week are eligible to enroll in a medical plan offered by RCOE, upon hire or during an annual Open Enrollment period.
