Family Engagement
The Riverside County Office of Education recognizes the essential role meaningful family engagement plays in supporting school improvement and student success. When families are welcomed as valued partners and actively included in decision-making, the educational experience becomes more relevant and meaningful, reflecting the diverse strengths, needs, and perspectives of our students and communities.
RCOE Family Engagement Network
The Family Engagement Network (FEN) provides research-based findings, professional learning, collaboration, resources, and practical strategies for family engagement practitioners, educators, administrators, parents, caregivers, and community partners.
FEN supports participants in strengthening meaningful family-school-community partnerships, elevating the voices of parents and caregivers, building trusting relationships, and developing engagement practices that contribute to student success.
FEN Focus Areas to Support Family Engagement Practitioners
- Research-based strategies that build trust, strengthen relationships, and support student success
- Parent leadership, family voice, lived experience, and shared decision-making
- Family-school-community partnerships that promote belonging and shared responsibility
- Alignment with RCOE initiatives, LCAP priorities, and student-centered outcomes
- Professional learning, facilitation, technical proficiency, and practical resources
- Practitioner wellness and self-care
- Customized training and technical support for school districts
2026 Family Engagement Conference
The RCOE Family Engagement Conference brings together educators, leaders, family engagement practitioners, community partners, parents, caregivers, and students for a meaningful day of learning, connection, and collaboration.
Through inspiring speakers, engaging breakout sessions, shared resources, and authentic networking, the conference celebrates the power of strong family-school-community partnerships.
