Join our virtual PBIS/MTSS Targeted Team Training to support district and school site teams in strengthening targeted and intensive systems of support within their Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework. Teams will develop the systems, data, and practices needed to identify students requiring additional behavioral, social-emotional, and mental health support, implement evidence-based Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions, and monitor student progress to ensure positive outcomes. Participants will strengthen teaming structures, data-based decision making, and intervention planning while learning how targeted and individualized supports align with and build upon Universal (Tier 1) PBIS practices to create an integrated continuum of support for all students. Training will be offered at two levels—Year 1 and Year 2—to support schools at different stages of implementation. All trainings will be presented virtually.
To participate in RCOE PBIS Tier 2 Team Training, the school administrator should complete the RCOE PBIS Tier 2 Readiness Form. Please email the completed form to Denise Granger, RCOE PBIS Coordinator, at dgranger@rcoe.us.

The Tier 2 team is responsible for identifying students in need of more intensive support than school-wide PBIS practices, as well as designing and monitoring those selected interventions. Often, Tier 2 teams are composed of different staff than the Tier 1 team to serve that function. Most importantly, Tier 2 teams need to have membership that includes individuals who monitor Tier 2 interventions, have applied behavioral expertise, have knowledge of students, and have knowledge of the operations of the school. Wellness Coaches and/or Community School staff could also be beneficial team members.
LCAP Priority: Engagement, Pupil Outcomes, Conditions of Learning
MTSS Domain: Whole Child, Administrative Leadership, Integrated Supports, Family and Community Engagement
