Inclusive Behavior Instruction Features
In MTSS, resources are allocated based on student need. Data helps to evaluate behavioral supports, guiding decisions on interventions. School teams identify behavior trends and provide targeted interventions to designated students as needed. These interventions are delivered individually or in small groups, with increasing levels of intensity. This system ensures flexible access to behavioral supports for all students.
Key Practices:
-
Arrange the environment to prevent problem behaviors
-
Teach and acknowledge pro-social skills and behaviors
-
Screen universally and monitor student progress
-
Develop a continuum of scientifically based behavior, social emotional, and academic interventions
-
Use data to make decisions and solve problems
